Meet Lynsey

Forest Glade Massage Therapy was set up in April 2021 by Lynsey Dent as a home-based and mobile massage therapy service.

Hello and welcome to Forest Glade Massage.  My name is Lynsey and I qualified in Massage Therapy in 2020.  I am married to Christopher and live in Cookridge, Leeds.

​

I was a town planner for many years and then a stay at home Mum, but my life took a different turn in 2013 when my two children, Ellie Mae and Caleb, were diagnosed with a life limiting neuro degenerative condition.  They sadly passed away in 2015 and 2019.  They are my inspiration for retraining in massage as I saw first hand the benefits for them.  Also as a carer I found massage greatly improved my physical and mental well being.

Due to this I have a special interest in massage for people living with disabilities and illnesses, and have a diploma in Massage for Special Needs.  I am also trained in Soft Touch Therapy, suitable for people undergoing cancer treatment and living with cancer. I love learning new treatments and regularly add to my massage skillset, often prompted by suggestions from clients.

I am based in my home in Cookridge where I have created a warm and nurturing space for my treatments. I believe massage can help everyone so please take a look around my website.

Please note that there are steps into the house and the therapy room is on the second floor. I offer a mobile service for clients with mobility issues. If you struggle with steps, please contact me to discuss options.

My ethos is to be kind to the environment, in the use of resources, waste management, and choice of products. The oils and body products are carefully selected to contain all natural ingredients, organic as far as possible and from sustainable sources. I am  a Professional Member of the CThA (Complementary Therapists Association) and am on the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council Register, the UK voluntary register for complementary healthcare practitioners.
